AI screening for your Ceipal stack.

How BotHires fits alongside Ceipal — using Ceipal's own AI capability set as a reference.

BotHires is not an ATS. It is an AI layer that augments Ceipal, Bullhorn, JobDiva, Vincere, Loxo, and others — with no rip-and-replace. Ceipal has shipped real AI screening, so this page is about where the two overlap, where they don't, and which gap is worth paying to close.

Capability map

Ceipal organizes AI screening around four surfaces: AI Matching & Ranking, Auto-Screening, Voice AI, and Copilot. We use that framework and add a fifth — Apply-Time Experience — that contract staffing firms increasingly need.

Better BotHires is stronger on this capability Parity Comparable to the ATS reference Partial Limited scope or specific surface Roadmap Planned, not yet shipping
Capability Ceipal AI reference How BotHires does this Status
Apply-Time Experience
Between candidate submit and recruiter review
Career and Campus Portals with AI job matching for discovery. Screening results route to recruiter workflows and Engage filters — the applicant isn't told where they stand. Live AI screen at apply-time on a tenant-branded subdomain: resume parsed and JD-matched in seconds, real-time pre-screen chat (rate, location, availability, work auth). Candidates see status and queue number before closing the tab. Better
Match & Rank
Right candidate to right job
AI Matching & Ranking scores candidates 1–100, contextualizing location, experience and skills beyond keyword scan. Reverse compatibility score predicts likelihood the candidate accepts. Grounded AI evaluation that must quote the resume to justify a shortlist. Role-family enforcement and auto-vs-recruiter rejection tagging. Semantic search across your existing candidate database. Parity
Auto-Screening
Disqualify before the pipeline
Auto-screening on job-board question responses — configurable correct answers, knockout rules and qualification thresholds mark candidates Qualified or Not Qualified. Deterministic and fast. Evaluation of the resume itself against the JD, not the form answers. Conversational confirmation of rate, work auth and availability in the candidate's own words rather than a checkbox. Better
Decision evidence
Why this candidate
Returns a numeric match score. Third-party tools are marketed specifically to add shortlist transparency and audit logging on top of Ceipal. Every shortlist cites the resume text that justified it. Recruiters can inspect and overturn any call, and rejections are tagged auto vs recruiter for filtering. Better
Voice screening
Structured pre-screen calls
Voice AI Pre-Screening generates and conducts a structured voice interview from job details and custom questions, with a human-readable summary emailed and saved as a note. AI proctoring monitors face visibility, tab switching and multiple-person detection. AI voice screening with scripted voicemail fallback, included from the entry tier. No proctoring layer — we don't monitor interview integrity. Partial
Source
Find candidates you don't already have
AI-assisted sourcing with keyword selection, boolean generation and ranking, driven by the recruiter. Headless sourcing automation with adaptive search cascade — agents log into your job-board accounts, filter, download resumes, AI-evaluate, and trigger outreach. Typical 5–15 minutes from job to shortlist. Better
Engage
Outbound reach
Copilot generates personalized communications and screening questions; SMS, VOIP and email reach candidates on their preferred channel. AI email outreach with recruiter CC and reply-all routing. AI voice screening included from the entry tier. Parity
Co-pilot
Inline AI assistant for the recruiter
Ceipal Copilot summarizes applicant profiles, checks relevance, and generates job descriptions, screening questions and boolean strings inside the ATS. Real-time AI chat with the candidate at apply-time is production. Recruiter-side inline co-pilot inside our dashboard is planned, not shipping today. Roadmap
Portability
What happens when the ATS changes
Screening logic, scores and configuration live inside Ceipal. Reconnect to the new ATS; the screening layer, index and decision history stay yours. Better

What BotHires doesn't do today

We're an AI layer, not an ATS. Honest about the gaps against Ceipal specifically:

  • No system of record — no notes graph, deal flow, or placement history
  • No VMS, Procurewise-equivalent supplier management, timesheets, or workforce admin
  • No interview proctoring — face, tab-switch and multiple-person detection are Ceipal-native
  • Limited compliance / EEO reporting depth
  • Recruiter-side inline co-pilot is on the roadmap

Where Ceipal is the better answer

  • One vendor, one invoice. If consolidating tools is the actual goal, adding a second system works against you
  • Interview integrity is the bottleneck. Proctoring is native there and absent here
  • Requirements screen cleanly on structured questions. If rate and work auth are genuinely knockout-or-not, the rule engine handles it without an LLM in the path

Why this works as an AI layer

For firms already on Ceipal who still lose candidates at the door:

  • Keep Ceipal as system of record — no migration, no retraining
  • BotHires runs alongside, ingesting jobs via API or email
  • Knockout rules screen what the candidate typed; grounded evaluation screens what the resume shows
  • Apply-time AI + headless sourcing + voice + outreach in days, not months
  • Usage-based pricing — pay for what the agent does, not per-seat
